I can't help you with the "put on sunscreen" battles and the eternal quest for snacks from the humans in your house, but I can help you enjoy summer WITHOUT ghosting your goals.
So, how do we navigate the sunny season without sacrificing our sanity? I got you.
1. Party Boards! Opt for easy, no-cook meals like party boards, which include a variety of healthy, summer ripe options. Think fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins (like rotisserie or grilled chicken, deli meats, etc), high protein dips like greek yogurt ranch or red lentil hummus (remember, recipes inside my Lazy Healthy membership) . This approach not only saves time but also ensures you're consuming a balanced diet without the hassle of cooking OR CLEANING!
2. Stay Active (in a fun way): Incorporate physical activities that fit seamlessly into your vacation or summer schedule. Enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, biking, whatever works wherever you are. If it's hot where you are, don't forget about mornings and evenings to get those steps in.
3. Hydration Station: Drink water. After that, drink more water. Oh and remember that a sparkling water with a cucumber and a lime also feels special just like a margarita. I'd also highly suggest LMNT citrus salt powder (below). for a truer margarita mocktail. Not exactly, but pretty close.
4. Treat Yo' Self (with the good stuff): Summer isn't complete without treats like ice cream or flag cakes, but let's keep it classy, shall we? Remember my mantra: Uou can have anything you want, just not everything you want". So... what do you really want? Stick to those things and let the other things go. Make space for the personal must haves and then shut your guilt hole.
It is easy to let everything go in the summer and listen, rest is crucial, but you can still work towards feeling your best and love your summer!

Less of an ALL or NOTHING mindset. It's hard as everyone goes into summer to think, "well it's gonna be crazy until we're back in school." But, we are and were never, looking for perfection. You don't have to do it all perfectly, and sustaining some of your healthier habits during the summer will make it easier on you come August/Sept. And also remember, when that time comes, you will have another excuse about how crazy it is with kids back in school or whatever it is. Hint: expect the unexpected because the chaos never ends.
